Re: ghost town
Dunno CT mayhap they're all getting their books ready for school
I'm currently struggling to lube the clutch cable without landing a load of lube all over myself and the carpet - err - concrete that should be.
What's you up to?

Snap, not wanting to teach you to suck eggs or anything but for clutch cable lube I use fine machine oil (3 in 1) and make a putty (bluetac) funnel around the lever end (having removed it from the lever first) and point the cable upwards and fill funnel with oil. Let gravity and time do its stuff and leave a bit of kitchen towl wrapped around bottom adjuster end. When the towel looks oily damp the jobs done!!!snapdragon wrote:Dunno CT mayhap they're all getting their books ready for school

Well I'm here but your right it's been a bit silent.... I made myself a nice chain protector the one that stops the chain rattling and chewing the swing arm
My original rubber one was worn down thinner than a porn stars noddy
So I found some nice Teflon plate about 4 mm thick and made a new one
So even if I wasn't here I was still fettling with my baby oh er Missus!
Cheers Paul

Much appreciated CT - I have gun oil and wondered if that will do? Quite fine I think. otherwise I'll have to initiate a search party for the 3in1.Crap Tartan wrote:Snap, not wanting to teach you to suck eggs or anything but for clutch cable lube I use fine machine oil (3 in 1) and make a putty (bluetac) funnel around the lever end (having removed it from the lever first) and point the cable upwards and fill funnel with oil.
