Wanted - Gear Arm

It’s a long shot but I’ve had a bit of an accident with the abba stand and have managed to snap the gear change arm the comes straight from the gearbox, joining to the linkage.
Has anyone got a spare they don’t need or have any information on an equivalent I can use?
I’ve been looking all week and cant really find anything that’s an direct replacement.
Any help would be much appreciated.

If you can't find a replacement, you could always repair the lever. Either get a welder expert in alloy to do it, or do it yourself with the low-temperature stuff that used to be called Lumiweld; I don't know if that is still available. I snapped the end off the rear brake lever of my Cagiva Alazzurra many years ago and the Lumiweld repair on that is still solid. All you need is a butane torch and a bit of care. Oh, and the kit of course!

I might have to find someone locally to repair like you suggested Nick.
This is the result of the miss aligned abba stand:

Hi Glitch,
That's not an easy one to fix. I wonder if it had cracked already due to being overtightened? Abba stands can be a bit tricky but I've never had mine be that vicious! Looking at your pic, I'm sure I can see the tails of a previous repair. Hopefully, that actuating arm is generic for all the TL1000 Suzuki motors, if not other Suzuki ones too.

It certainly looks different from all the other Suzuki V1000 parts.

I think yo may have to search for something similar and amend to suit.

Right, I’ve managed to fudge something together. I found a lever/arm on ebay that looked similar. Only thing was it for a Honda/Kawasaki. I ordered the item on a gamble to see if it would fit, turns out the spline count is different!

I lost all patience and decided to force it on. It’s a bit extreme but I took all the gear change mechanism out so I could force the arm into the splined shaft without damaging the rest of the gear box. Once the shaft was out I simply tapped it onto the end which created its own key/spline pattern.

I’ve assembled everything back together and all looks good. I can’t take it out yet as I’m still waiting to get the tyres changed.

Here’s a link to the item if any one is interested:

And here is the fudge:

So that's what a clean engine case around the sprocket clutch/mechanism looks like... :)
