ECU Same as Suzuki SV650?

Hello, I´m Diego, from México, hope you can help me.

I own a Cagiva Raptor 650 2006.

The problem is rear cylinder not firing, both coils are fine, swap them to verify this.

The coil for the rear cylinder is not getting signal so there's no spark.

I checked the wiring and and it seems in good condition, so I think it's probable the ECU has failed.

The Suzuki SV ECU is the same? if so, what year?

The Raptor is very rare here but there are many SVs

Thanks.

G'day Diego, welcome in mate.
I did a little bit of research and I think the first step you should take is working out how to put your bike into dealer mode and getting any error codes the ECU has. The SV650's with injected motors have a plug that you put a wire in that shows the error codes on the instruments like the 1000 Raptor does. Have a look at this link https://www.svrider.com/threads/how-do- ... de.118534/

There is clearly a diagnostic plug on your bike from what the wiring diagram says with 3 wires going into it

It may be under the right hand side cover(below the pillion seat) as shown in this picture(above the number 19)

Can you find that plug and take a picture of it, it may have a cover over it.

I have asked some Italians if they know how to get your model bike into dealer mode, just have to wait for a reply. Your problem may possibly be a crank position sensor as that is what tells the coils when to send spark.

From what I found out, the number on your ECU is the same as SV650 injected bikes, so I am 99% certain it would fit your bike, see this link https://www.boonstraparts.com/en/part/s ... 0000532513

Thanks for the reply,

I´m gonna check dealer mode.

The engine starts and can run but just front cylinder works, if crank position sensor is bad, then neither of the 2 cylinder would fire, don't know if I'm wrong?

I read that the Suzuki SV EFI is the same model but the mapping is different, not sure if it will work.

Cagiva ECU is expensive.

Thanks.

Problem solved.

We connected an ECU from SV1000, didn't work, then connected original ECU and rear cylinder works.

The insulation of the harness wiring under the seat lock mechanism was worn out, some kind of short circuit was the problem.

Cheers.
