Replacement headlamp success

I have just replaced the headlamp unit, bowl and light, on my 2002 650 Raptor. The old bowl was fragmented and held together with duck tape. The replacement was £33.00 from ebay and i tranferred the wiring from the original to the new. I used the new side light as the carrier was different butthis only involved soldering two wires. The side mounting nuts were also transferred and secured with polyurethane mastic and spacing washers. The lamp is a cheap chinese thing but is solid enough, works and fits.

Hi Jim,

Could you please give a seller's reference code for this unit, in case I need to change the cheapo headlamp I fitted to my 1K which is already showing signs of reflector corrosion? I've found problems with matching the spacing between brackets on replacements (the original had long-gone when I got the bike) and I really don't like fitting supplementary brackets. Also, I've had to heat-gun the shell to get clearance for the speedo cable etc.

Cheers,

Nick
