After hearing bad metallic sounds I open the engine and founded metallic gear pieces and a gone rod bearing..
I think it’s better go looking for a engine..

One question
Do the raptor have the same cylinder head as the TLR engine?
I have found a cheep TLR engine in good condition except for the front cylinder head, my engine has good cylinder heads ....

Oh dear
& commiserations. Do you know what may have caused it? It looks like a piece of piston ring as well.
I got as far as finding out it's a TL1000S model X/Y/K1 see

Unfortunately that doesn't help with your question... have you tried searching the tlzone.net & tlplanet.com forums?

You'll have to check parts number to see if the heads interchange, as Andy said it's a X/Y/K1 model, Babbitts (
https://www.babbittsonline.com/oemparts ... inder-head) is the best place I find to check part numbers, and partzilla (
https://www.partzilla.com/product/suzuk ... 1100-02F31) gives models that share the same part.

What you see in the photo is a thin part who went off the rod bearing and some dent part from a gear.
The the only damage parts is the main shaft and some gear (I haven’t opened the gearbox).
I have suddenly run into a lot of un aspected costs this month....
I am building another two bikes at this moment, my direr left the car without coolant at a mountain trip, Holliday journey with the family August and the my favourite bike the Raptor broke....
Mmmmmurphy.....

In this pics we have the bearing and rod failure marks.

Very nasty, and commiserations on your list of problems!
If, as you say, some of the bits have come off the rod bearing shell, I guess they may have gone straight down into the gears visible in your last-but-one pic, breaking off a tooth. First time I've heard of a bearing shell disintegrating. Presumably something in the lubrication system failed...

I've had big end failure due to bikes continuing to run while on their sides, starves the oil feed into the shells.

I finally decided to rebuild my engine, if You buy a used engine at the net you will never know it’s condition ware until it’s late.
So I have bought a used TLR crank with rods and pistons, This way I also improve my engine a bit with nice forged high compression items...
