Help me.....

Post by shebee »

I am being tempted to the dark side.. I went to look at a Honda msx125, that is not the problem. The dealership also sold other stuff and i have fallen in lust with the Ducati scrambler... That is the problem! Does anyone know anything about them reliability/servicing costs etc?

I like the look of them, but would probably go for the Monster instead (if offered the choice), as I think it has a better engine.

DON'T DO IT!

The Ducati sales team have obviously been taking a leaf or two out of the HD book, and their marketing/PR side are currently the sleaziest tarts around.

They lost ALL street cred when they started doing this sorta shit in about 2012, I think it was, this is an actual advert from the Ducati magazine, and is camper than a row of tents, IMHO. :x

I can imagine Dick Emery lisping "trace me" whilst dressed in drag, think on that if you're old enough and still tempted! :bollocking:

Seems a lady in Queensland doesn't like hers already.... http://www.bikesales.com.au/private/SSE ... bler-ICON/

Now call me a skeptic, BUT my experience of back operations is that they take blooming ages to plan and arrange, and I certainly wouldn't have dreamt of shelling out my hard earned on a brand new bike in the 2 months before or after having mine, so I get the funny feeling that this may be a bit of an excuse to sell a bike that only seems to have been registered since the 12th May and now has less than 1100 km/700 miles on the clock.....Seem legit?

Remembering also that Ducatis now have a much longer service interval than the older models, reliabillity greatly improved also

Ducatis are high maintenance but not that hard to work on if you're willing to have a go.

Don't like the standard one but there are a few concepts and specials that look cool.
The exhausts on modern bikes are horrible and yes I understand why, but please.
