The Tartan update!

Post by Crap Tartan »

Hi all, as many will have noticed I have been pretty quiet of late on here so thought it time to put you in the picture a little.

Mel changed jobs and moved back to Scotland last October, mainly as she prefers the new job and never really settled too well down in Cumbria.
I planned to move back to be with her once i found a new job in the area (Portpatrick).
In January I was put at risk and was made redundant last week.
At the moment I am busy sorting our new house, decorating our old one (in Cumbria) ready for sale and am jumping between both.

The really good (surprising?) news is that me and Mel are going to have a baby somewhere around the 26th August!

So drinks all round on me.................... :tada: :drunk:

I have not touched any bikes for a couple of months now but will get back to it once I get everything else in order and still hope to make the weekend in July if at all possible.

Slainte!

Thank you all for the kind words, we are very chuffed after trying for the last 18 months and was beginning to think this 55 year old had finally dried up!

Mel`s biological clock was ticking faster and faster and despite the problems we have come across it has all been worthwhile.

The three bikes will have to be cut back unless I find a well paid job shortly, Mel`s Street Triple will defo be sold and I will have to finally decide between my Bastard Rap and the more future friendly Shadow..................................

Awwwwwwwwww this is lovely news to read. Congratulations to you both. You old dog CT!!! :D

Ps, having kids doesn't always mean giving up bikes, they just go out less :?

Thanks Dizz!

Not giving up, Mel wants to take some time out from biking for obvious reasons and I need to cut down on costs and realise some money what with being out of work and a new house to get sorted.

It`ll all be right one way or t`other i just wont be out playing as much as before.....................

I know from experience , one of my other daughters started going pillion with me from about age 6 and I could hardly ever get out without her for years (she is now in her thirties and has two lads of her own!).

Good grief Martin that's a hot and cold post :?
...having to move back beyond the wall where all the white walkers are, losing your job,
then BOING !! A wee sproglet knocks on the door !!
Jeez, if you're gonna change your life you may as well change it all then?

I hope everything goes well for you both, and that Mel has an easy time with her pregnancy. I reckon you'll be brilliant parents (I hear old guys usually are :nerner:  )

Is there an industry in that area that you can fit into?

Oh, get rid of the Raptor (?).........

:bollocking: ..don't even THINK about it, bagpipe boy :suspect:
To a Raptor....EVERYTHING else is just prey !!
