Am pretty sure someone did at sometime, and needed to sort longer cables, can't recall if anything else was needed though

This can be problematic, fitting bars that are too low can foul the tank on full lock and ones that are too high can foul the horns.

Finding something in between is a bit of trial and error.

Renthal do a wide range of bars and heights. Is it road ultra low you are thinking of or one of the many but similar other options?

My Vrap no longer has horns so I have renthal high bars fitted to give me a bit more upright and comfy riding position. These wouldnt fit with horns I dont reckon.

When I did have horns I tried a variety of types, most would foul in some way or other, remeber you need to fit everything back on to the bars (switchgear/mirrors/brakes/clutch etc) as it may foul with the kit bolted on or be pretty unuseable in the position its at.

I have a red anodised set of ally bars with brace that used to be on my rap and fitted when it did have horns, I will look them out and tell you what they are when I am home tonight.

Hi All.
I fitted Renthal ultra lows to my 650 Raptor and the clearence to the tank is good and cables, brake hose weren't stretched  I don't know if the 1000 V RAP has similar geometry, but I suppose the ears are the defining factor, personally I don't like them :snooty:

Dave...

I have had LSL narrower street bar (above) without problems if I remember right.
This winter I changed to LSL naked bar (below) and I had to replace throttle cables,
old ones were too short and other cables had to reroute. Brake line to brake cylinder is now tight and should replace to.

There are forwarding services like http://www.comgateway.com/ and http://www.myus.com/ to help you out. The cheapskate in me thinks that it sounds like you might just be able to saw a wee bit off your current bars!

Hi!

I changed the original handle pars to a set of Renthal Ultra low, Red.
Both looks and feels better, also breathes quality. :)

The only modification i had to do was that i had to drill holes for the handlebar controls.

Go for it! :)
