The Phoenix saga, chapter 2

Post by Hairy_Mark »

Forsooth, our hero is back.
At last as he ministered to his mortally wounded (and distinctly wobbly in corners) steed, he realised that urgent action was required. Close inspection showed that his trusty iron horse had suffered spinal injury in her accident. Then began the delicate procedure of swapping the very backbone of Bella for one of known pedigree (as vouched for by members of that noble and arcane coven known as'Raptor Chapter')
Whilst Bella slumbered (with socks stuffed down her inlakes), the new spine was covered in magic pixie dust, known only to mortals as 'powder coating'. Then came the moment when the new spine was attached to the still slumbering heart of the brave animal. A sorcerer of some repute captured the moment by use of foe-toe-graficalness. His mystical image is reproduced below. Maximus breathed deeply as this operation was completed. Now at last, he had hope for his beast.

You're not hanging about I see. A rebuild would normally take me about 6 months (years). I suppose that there is an added incentive if you can't actually eat until the bike is finished because the kitchen is inaccessible.

Huzzah, a fine road to recovery for the mighty Bella!

Now, serious question, does her knight in shining red bra and matching briefs, get an upgrade of wardrobe to Tango Codpiece and breastplate? Ready for the Cumbrian jousting season :pilot:

Verily,
Maximus has consulted with his esteemed legal representatives and considers the ensuing response to be both meaningful and not at all likely to result in a spell in her majesty's dungeons.

Unto Mighty Mariner (a noble name, he deems), he sayeth, "Great is my joy that you have visual pleasantness at the sight of my recovering steed. She shall be clad all in Cagiva red, excepting the carbon fibre flanks and mane (known to philistines as a keyguard protector). She shall also have not one, but two ars*holes, courtesy of the metalsmiths at MTC.

Unto Red Mist, Maximus conveys the following missive. 'Food is but the sustenance of the body, motorbikes are the very stuff of the soul.'

And to the blond who is light in the head, 'Thine imaginings on the subject of knightly attire are most wise. I wonder if mounting my steed will be arduous when wearing the codpiece, but a knight must have shining armour...I'll look into it.'

Yup, just remove all bearings, bolts etc, they blast and dip the bits and mask up threaded and bearing surfaces to keep them clear before applying the magic dust and cook!
