I didn't find out till tonight. I recorded the "race" and got a shock.
How sad for everyone who followed his rising career and especially his close friends and family.
I would not be surprised if Valentino calls it a day and retires he must be in bits.

I think Rossi and Edwards have got a dark time in their lives to get through now and my thoughts are with them as well as with Marco`s family.Made me realize after my little off a few weeks back that life is a valuable and fragile thing that we all take for granted.Live for today and make it count,Marco did.

A terrible tragedy for all involved. A terrible and unavoidable accident. For Edwards it must be terrible, having sustained injuries himself, as much as Rossi for veering off track. Neither of them could have avoided what happened.


RIP fluffy afro guy, a talent unfurling, which will be sorely missed.

It is sad he was a character and we need more of those . He definately rode on the edge and was good to watch ,its a real shame. Lets keep the shiny side up.

Very, very sad. A true character and a great rider. He added a lot to motorcycle racing, but he had so much more to give.
He was duelling with Bautista to the end and it was that style that I admired so much.

I don't think Rossi will retire. Even though he and Edwards must be in a very dark place at the moment they are motorcycle racers and, unfortunately, these tragic events are always a possibility. Simoncelli would not wish them to give up!
