digital dashes

Post by kev »

hi all i see some of you are using digital dashes and its something i am thinking of but how accurate are they i tried one where you stick a magnet on the wheal and a sensor near it and it was about as much good as a chocolate tea pot any feed back on this would be great.

Kev,

I have used the cheap bicycle type ones to good effect in the past, they are only as accurate as the info you put into them tho`!
The refresh rate on them isnt great and the lag is noticeable when you are going quick.
I have also used a Koso digital dash and it used six magnets (which incidentally were exactly the right size to pop in the rivet indent on the disc carrier!) and it was really accurate (once again be accurate in the info you programme it with.

I did a check with the missus in the car it it was spot on throughout its range (obviously I didnt get her to drive at 150+ to test the top end!)

The Koso dash I had (RX1N) can be had pretty cheaply if you look around (ebay)
