stand by to vomit and cry

Post by zebedee »

Ok seriously bad day so before I explain why the drinks will be
Large Absinthe, Large Tequilla, Baby guiness (schooner glass with Tia Maria on the bottom and Baileys floating on top must go down in one), Magners pear over ice each and silence til they're finished.
Pause to vomit, clean teeth and glass of water then settle in for some serious sorrow drowining.
So what happened?
1. Got up this morning never a good idea
2. Decided to go get haircut (always a downer as I have a full head of the stuff but its been on a diet and starting to go silver blonde at the edges)
3. "Hey me, weather is looking fab get the V Rap warm and blow the cobwebs out"
4. Flat battery charged enough in about 45 mins
5. Off we go get cash get fuel head for the barbers (real men don't go to hairdressers)
6. Nice 20 min run to barbers just pulling in to layby and whammo!!! Poor V Rap sexually assualted at speed from behind by an Asian Gentlemen in a silver BMW.
I managed to hang on to her and grab handfuls of brakes so I didn't get punted into the van in the layby.
7. Got off got the guy to park then opened his door so I could gently assist him from the car
8. Asked him politely what happened. This must have been much more scarey than I thought as he started shaking, profusely appologising and admitting it was his fault.
Damage. Number plate, number plate bracket (just replaed with tail chop thingy last week!!), Right hand passenger footpeg hanger now in 4 pieces, RH tailpipe looks bent and carbon wrapping coming off
Damage to me. Nothing at the time as adrenalin was still firing up the Bruce Lee gland for an hour or so after. Now have neck ache, shoulder ache and the mother of all headaches. Dr's at 6 oh joy!

Glad you're ok, commiserations about the damage.

Holy Crap!
Glad you are OK, but watch that neck/shoulder area for the next few weeks.
I got Liberaced* on the way to work nearly a decade ago.
Ended up under the bike which was under the car... no major injuries..... phew!
But a few weeks later I could hardly move... go figure.
Apparently it was whiplash and it took quite a lot of work to fix up.

I recently saw a survey that said that 30% of motorcycle crashes are the bike being hit from behind

Crikey.

* Liberaced = rammed up the rear. Term coined in honor of Liberace the 'entertainer'
If you aren't living on the edge you are taking up too much room.
