Peg mounts

Post by JLittler »

Hi all,

Been a while, does anyone know of a source for rearsets for the X Raptor / VRaptor ?

Here's a couple of pics from an Eastern Creek rideday the other week:

Turn 2

If you look closely you can see where I've worn a hole in my boot - need toe-sliders !

Even still, the main problem was ground clearance - the stock pegs are mounted low and the stock hangers for the rear pegs stop me tucking my heels in properly.

Anyone know of a solution ?

More pics below if you're interested (the "from the top" shot is pretty cool)

Wow Nice pics mate!
Can't wait to go to the track myself (this saturday)
Never had any ground clearance problems with the rap(maybe I should try harder :) ),but it's nice to have toe sliders, they are used regularly :D
Maybe it's because I raised the back with different triangles so I get that little bit of extra ground clearance.

Some pics of last year:

Thanks - ditto to yours.

Well the Xraptor already has the raised ride height over the Vraptor (it's very noticeably taller - I'm short so on the std. V Rap I'm *almost* flat foot - I'm tiptoes on the Xrap...

There's no way I'd jack the back up any higher just yet - it's already as flighty as hell(1) tipping into turn 1 at 210 thanks to the steeper rake - which raises the other thing I meant to ask anyone know of a bolt on adjustable steering damper - the non adjustable one is perfect at sane road speeds but it'd be great to be able to crank it up for a track day.

Anybody ever put rearsets on an X / Vrap ? Should I just give up and trade it on a Brutale ?
