Exhausts from 1000 fit a 650?

Post by twistedpr »

Sorry if this is a bit of a dumb newbie question ( ), but does anyone know if you can put aftermarket end cans designed for a Raptor 1000 onto a Raptor 650ie?

My welding and fabrication skills are non-existent, so I was wondering if the link pipes and hanging points are the same for the two models?

One of the local exauhst places to us used to make exhausts for custom applications (cars with aftermarket superchargers/blowers).. If you can find one local to you it might be worth asking?

Thanks for the responses and useful info. I was considering buying some 2nd hand cans for the 1000 then getting them adapted to the 650. Would work out cheaper than buying them new and sending the bike away for two weeks to get measured/fitted (which is what Quill wanted to do)!

As it is, some @*~# had their own ideas and knocked me off (then drove away) a couple of weeks ago. Haven't seen the bike, as the boys in blue have it for evidence, but apparently it's a real mess.

Hasn't put me off though - thinking I should get a 1000 instead! :P
