Any one know anything about them, any thing to look for or to avoid? Is it the Raptor motor or another variation on the TL?

Re: Cagiva navigator
Another choice would be the 1000 Vstrom , i think it runs bigger throttle bodies than the former tl engine

Re: Cagiva navigator
i quite fancy one but always seem to go for more than i can afford. Why didnt they make one that looked like the elefant? i am not too keen though on jelly mould styling.

They use the same engine. They are restricted mainly by the small air box, peashooter exhaust and different ecu.
Great bike in my biased opinion.
Can some clever so and so please enlarge my pics please?

Looks like those pics were saved in a low resolution format, but yes, great bike.
Road racing's where it's at - going round in circles all day is for hamsters.

Re: Cagiva navigator
We had a vstrom, thinking it was a raptor engine, but the clutch was appalling and with Suzuki engine management making it soft and not at all raptor animalesque it was a disappointment. There was a thought about putting a raptor engine and all the bits into the frame as it was a great bike to ride if you could ignore the engine but we have enough projects!

TL and SV engine mounts are very different.
Re: Cagiva navigator
As I mentioned same engine as the TL1000S, a fellow 'Gator rider fitted a TLR motor into his, it didn't go any better until he ditched the restrictive exhaust system.
I've tried the TL 1000S ecu mod on mine, on the dyno it only raised the rev limiter by 400rpm with no real gain in power or torque. That was with a full 50mm exhaust system. Goes like stink b.t.w. just ride the torque rather than batter the rev limiter.
