Today I noticed that several X ring seals from my chain are missing and I found a snapped one still on the chain.
How is this possible?
The chain is the golden DID with 9000kms on it and was installed at September along with JT sprockets.
Front stock for SV and rear from GSXR.

Re: Broken X Ring seal at DID chain
Only thought i have is are you using an unusual chain cleaner or lube? Or maybe you have been sand racing it?

Belray chain lube isn't unusual
I haven't been to sand, you think someone could have borrowed it and done this while I was asleep??
I ll go to shop I bought it,cause I found out that it has warranty for 1 year or 20000 miles.

Re: Broken X Ring seal at DID chain
is the rubber hard and brittle? Has it been left in bright sunshine(obviously not possible in the uk) or any solvents been on the chain?

Re: Broken X Ring seal at DID chain
The rubber looked ok to me,soft.
Sometimes yes I might leave it at sunshine but rarely as I usually park it under shelter.

Re: Broken X Ring seal at DID chain
So today i got a new chain and replaced the old one for free.
The x rings from the old one were like molten.
We checked if the sprockets were correctly alligned and they were ok.
So i guess it was a chain issue.
