swinging arm swap ?

Post by taz »

does anyone know if there are any swinging arms from other bikes
that fit the raptor 1000 without much hassle or modification ? I must admit
the standard raptor one looks quite feeble compared to some and with all the power
must be flexing a fair bit under load ?
I did consider bracing the standard one but if there is a better replacement out there
it might be an easier job
thanks everyone.

hey Taz, do a search as there is much info on this with the ally swinger from an Aprilia RSV mille.

I have fitted one to mine and its not too difficult if you are comfortable with a grinder and files!!!

Wierdo also braced a standard one which looks really nice, pics around somewhere on here.......................

Hey Army, got any pics of yours with the MV swinger fitted?

As well as the mods on the Mille swinger to make fit, the frame and back of engine needed a little work too!

Yup, I had a very similar guide but it was in Italian!

I had to grind a little of the rear of my engine, the inner edge of the main frame downtubes going back up from the pivot and the lower cross tube of the frame and spread the hanger loops on the frame to fit the swinger in!

That was all in addition to whats shown in the guide................

be good to see your swinger fitted
