Info needed - Turbo'd and Nos'd V-Raps

Post by taz_116 »

Hi All,

Well seeing as I still actually have the Rap I want to know if any one has any info about the above.

I am thinking that at the end of this summer the bike might get stripped and prep'd into a straighlining bike.

I have been having a surf around trying to find out if anyone has already done this but can't really find anything. Anyone got any info that may come in useful.

I know a guy who is making a Kit to fit a Rotrex supercharger to a TLS (180hp min+110ft/lb min Expected) on standard rods at 9,500rpm.
No prices, but i expect he will be ready to test by end of this year.

ducguts, I am hoping TLmonkey will keep us informed of the progress. It would be far simpler if someone had already done the job and we could just follow his example.

If it proves too difficult i might just go the turbo busa route  Trouble is the wife also likes and wants a busa

I installed nitrous on my Vrap 2 years ago. Its a wet system from NX and have installed the 20 and then the 30 hp jets. Was done in conjunction with a PCIII USB and hub, quickshifter etc and best time to date is 11.33. Strapped the front down also and put lowering links in the back(always wants to point up for some reason). I think I could get into the 10's with more runs but just. I think I've done as much as I can with the bike so for all out low times thats it, bracket racing/ ET racing its consistant.

I spent close to 6K australian on those bits, If I wanted to go fast and look like everyone else, I'd go the busa. If want to go and have fun and have everyone look at your bike cause its not like everyone elses, turbo and nitrous the raptor.

My 2 cents, if you need any info just ask.
