I almost fell over... Pretty sure it's going to be written off now.

And the estimate was.... £5,700!!!!

Depending on what happens with my insurance I'm going to have lots of bits for sale, including my high level cans.

Fook!
Sorry to hear about your sudden stop!
Is there a bingle bug going around?

Yesterday I went for my first longish ride on the Ducati since my wee off 6 weeks ago (650km).
OMFG!
I think I should have waited a while longer.
The feeling has still not returned to all of my left hand

If that's a fractured scaphoid (sp?) be very careful about letting it heal just as the quack says. They take a long time to heal because of limited blood vessels in that area.
Some bloke called 'Stoner' is currently seeking surgery for the same injury.
Dunno if you've heard of him. Apparently he can ride fairly quickly 8)

Heal quick.
If you aren't living on the edge you are taking up too much room.

Hi, yes it is a broken scaphoid and the end of my radius. I've got a nice blue cast on now, apparently if was a very close call to needing surgery on it, even got a CT scan of if.

Most of the pain has eased off not - just really frustrating not being able to do things.

Still no word from my Insurance either.

********UPDATE********

Had the Raptor MOT'd today and it passed with no issues! (It was a Cat C)

So far I've not had the tank re-sprayed but I can live with the little scratch on the tank for now. I've either done the work myself or sent the bits to be fixed - ebay has been my best friend for the rebuild and I've managed it very cheaply imo.

Front wheel straightened £70
Front wheel re-sprayed £35
Radiator welded £35
New Headlamp (genuine cagiva) £20
Front Fender (CF) £30
Front Brake lines £15
New front Master Cylinder £15
New Front Brake Lever £10
New crash bungs £35

So for £265 ish It's fixed and back on the road :)

The best little change I've made doing the rebuild is I managed to get a front master cylinder from a ZX-10R which has made such a difference to the already good brakes :D

If it wasn't for ebay I think it wouldn't have been worth doing - still I think the headstock bearings do need changing, I get a bit of a rattle/shake over bumps at low speed even though the MOT said they were fine. I've ordered some new bearings so will get them changed over the weekend probably.

I've not been without a bike over this whole thing though - I bought myself a GSF600 to abuse and it's done pretty well, so so different from the Raptor though, it's a bit of a shock being back on it.
As soon as I've got everything done on the Raptor including the tank re-sprayed I'll sell the Bandit and buy some more CF bits :D

The lever is from a 2000 GSXR 600 SRAD - just the same as the Raptor one bolted on to the ZX-10R master.

Brendan

Edit**
Just checked my ebay and got it for £4.99 plus £3.00 postage :D
