Green Laning

Post by TimO »

Hi all
I went to a meeting yesterday with a farmer, he said follow me so that your bike is hidden away from the road. I said is it muddy, he said no, so I followed :o
I don't know if any of you chaps have been off road on one of these, but the michelin pilot road 2's don't really offer much in the way of grip

Offroad!

Your pics. remind me of an episode that happend a few years ago.
I had promised my daughter to go for a spin wit her FS-1 she was 13 at the time so we could not go on the public roads. We have a nice trail in the woods near by my house and I tought that this will not be a problem to ride along with her on my Honda VFR 750 :P :P !
There was just two issues 1. I had a terrible hang over
and 2. that summer it had rained like hell so the dirt road was quite damp
When we been riding for quite some time we come down a slope and the whole trail was flooded and under neath the warter ther was 20 cm. of really damp mud and of course I got stuck. I had to wrestle the VFR around in the mud. I almost gave up  My daughter treid to encurage me to go on. Eventually I manage to turn the Honda around. My daughter could not handel the FS-1 very well so I had to ride the moped for 25 meters at the time and then return an pick up the Honda    .
We were home vary late that evening

The track to my house is 3/4 mile long and in a MUCH worse state than that. 1:4 hill, deep mud and potholes with 3" of water
Nail it in 2nd gear and get them rooster tails 8)
