Hello Folks,
There's only one little thing that I really don't like about my Rap.....
It's the stupid little horn that the bike was born with
Just too weak & silly for such a killer bike.
I have always been too embarrased to use it
The idea of dying under the wheels of a lane-changing car to the sound of a constipated geriatric farting into a bedpan just sucks.
Thank God for the loud cans
Why do bike builders put such a piece of crap on a bike?...
(Don't even start me on the UGLY standard indicators )
Now... I have a solution ... thanks to 'The Bear' (editor of Road Rider magazine & motorcyclist extraordinaire).
I have replaced the original horn with that from a Piaggio X9 500 scooter.
yup... a scooter
$50 & a 6 week wait (a long wait for parts....it's an Italian trend ) and bingo...
Way better than the original & it looks kinda neat too... basic black & a squared off snail-shape.
The only mod required was to enlarge the mounting point on the supplied bracket from 8mmm to 10mm.
Happier now.... it's a pity the registration expired yesterday
Keep the shiny side up.

Just replaced my indicators with clear triangular LED ones, looks way better although it's a bit weak when the engine is not running (but who uses them when the engine isn't running?).
Also agree with the horn, still looking for a nice replacement.
Scooters seem to have a few things that fit the Raptor.
Read that the clear rear LED light from the Yamaha Aerox is a direct fit on the Rap and much cheaper too.
