Indicator parts.
I have a feeling that pretty much all of the body parts, for the Raptor & V, are pretty much unobtainium I'm afraid. I'm at the cusp of a full resto/refurb of the old gal & I spend some time cruising the web looking for such parts and have never come across any at all.... I'm think for the r...

Please raise a glass.. sad news.
Oh my good lord... & I don't quite know what to say...
Although I never had any direct dealings with Snappy she was always such a big part of this forum and my thoughts go out to all her close friends & relatives.
As others have said ride free in the sun

And if you click on the link for the item 4 shaft 25411-02F20-000 that takes you to slightly different diagram that may help a little more with the respective orientation of the two shafts....

Advice please on gearbox assembly
Hmmm: From Fowlers parts diagram the two shafts are numbered 4 & 5 and from that can we assume it is also showing their relative positions? https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/5292845/tl1000s-v-k1-97-01/gear-shifting-model-xyk1 Item 4 Shaft is 25411-02F20-000 and looks to be hollow in this diag...

Newbe To the Raptorchapter
Yo! welcome in. As you have already seen there is loads of good info in here if you look carefully and there are still a few of us about that can fill in any gaps. So what model have you got? 1000, Raptor or V-Raptor or perhaps the 650? 10k miles is nothing for these engines/bikes - not even reached...

Delivery taken on Friday and all looks ok. Have only offered him up and am planning to fit it in err... quite a while as I am planning a well deserved resto of the old boy.

And I've had a thought on how it might all fit together. Connect the two piece's straight ends into the middle piece and then one of the angled ends can be inserted into one of the tank bolt holes and the the other angled end can be inserted into one of the frame's (tank) bolt holes. The angles will...

Ha! Toolkit: what toolkit? Seems like one of the 4 previous owners of my low-mileage 1000 pinched the toolkit so that explains why I've never come across those odd bits. It'd be fun to see them in action, Andy! Nick Perhaps rather than pinching it they just couldn't be bothered with the hassle of p...

Photos will be along in the next message. As can be seen from the first the middle bit is tubular at each end and the other two pieces fit into them perfectly. They can be fitted either way round and I haven't got a clue which way is correct, or indeed, if it is correct that these pieces do go toget...

And I've also just found the middle bit in the photo below that the two other pieces will fit into to extend their length. But again no clue how they all 'work' together.
