Re: A Canary Cafe Racer
I love the idea of turning the horns into ram air tubes, they've always struck me as being "fake ram-air" anyway!

Re: What did you do to your Raptor today
Thanks Andy, I'm still on a steep learning curve – I haven't even managed to work out the purpose of the strip of bent steel is near the tongue engagement area. I had to bend it out the way slightly as it was stopping the tongue from Sitting as it should. Next thing I need to do urgently is adjust ...

Re: Some articles on the V Raptor 1000 and the Raptor 1000
Sweet, nice to see PB spreading the love. Had a mate tell me today that he thought the TL/S engines were actually made for Suzuki by Hyosung, which I didn't want to hear, can anyone on here help me dispel that dirty gossip?

Re: Mods for a life of commuting
Looks like you have the early front mudguard whose struts are a bit too weak & spindly for warp speed, extending it isn't likely to lessen its load so keep an eye on them if you do the occasional fast blast too. I'm quite biased so I really think you should ditch the orange indicator lenses for ...

Re: 'Chec' sign wont bugger off!!
Welcome in. From my fuddled memory the chec bit doesn't go off until you start her up, if not that then I *think* that in dealer mode you might have to press the button on the clock to cycle through the different displays, it's certainly worth a go as it's cheap'n'easy. You might have to RTFM if you...

Nah mate, it was the Firestorm that could potentially have been described as boring Honda, the ZZR was a Krapasaki!

Re: First post - good to find the Forum
Hope you had a great day, and took loads of lovely pix to share with us? Watch out for the "powerband" at 3000RPM till she's warmed up, search on here for TPS reset/3k glitch if it's bothersome.

Re: GSXR CONVERSION
Definitely quite tidy, but still I'm not 100% convinced. For a very forward nose like that I think it'd look cleaner if there was something to join the nose to the rest of the bike, with it completely separate then it does look like it's not a bikini fairing per se and is just a part of a fairing pi...

Hmm, zorst looks too itty-bitty-little-bike for my taste, and I reckon that screen would need to be brought back much nearer the forks to look right but otherwise I like your thinking!

Welcome in  Yeah the OEM seat is a plank, I work on the "ride for an hour then stop for a coffee and fag" principle and it means that re-upholstering the seat hasn't got to the top of the priority list as yet, but I don't generally do more than 400km in a day and even then I always t...

Re: What steering damper
I think the idea of jacking up the rear of the Raptors came from the improved handling of the Xtra, as that is already higher than the standard bikes. Hmm, that's food for thought, thanks Miz. I'm still thinking I may drop the front a tad over the weekend, guess I should just "suck it & se...
