Re: Headlights - any bright ideas?

Blue light Globe?
Here in Oz we can buy light globes that have a light blue tint. They give off a much whiter light than a normal halogens do, sort of a poor mans HID. Works well for spotting the occasional kangaroo i encounter in my area.

Re: Headlights - any bright ideas?

I have a 90/100w bluelight globe in mine. It's makes a world of difference & have had no angry high beam flashes from oncoming traffic.

Hey Ducs,

Where are you at in NSW? I'm in Newcastle & have an X-Rap Carbon cowl.
I think they are the same as the standard ones. Feel free to let me know if you want a closer look.

Cheers

If you decide to use 6mm ally then you will have to buy some longer bolts for the triangles (m10*1,25 fine pitch)
Thanks for the info Cavia, I have now aquired some 4.4mm 7075 so i don't have to get new bolts.

I will still have some extra sets available if anyone wants some.

Thanks for the heads up Evil,

I have been informed that its 7075.

When you say you have done a full & intermediate lift, are you refering to cavia's drawings as full lift & then gone in between that & standard for intermediate?

Rear Lift Triangles

Hi All, A while ago i downloaded Cavia's drawings (thanks mate) for rear lift triangles. After much ringing around & chasing some high grade aluminium i had no luck. All i could get was mid strength 5000 series & i wasn't going to trust it. I didn't think the holes pulling through, followed ...

I think your new headlamp/fairing thing should look good on the raptor; is there a name on it so we know what to look out for on fleabay? Sorry Oldlongdog, there are no markings on it at all. Was advertised as second hand off a ZX9 Fighter by a dealer in England somewhere. Cost me nearly as much ag...

Hi Evil, I had a fouled plug not long after i got mine, a mate with a TLR put it down to me touching the throttle on start-up. I now use NGK Iridiums, dont touch the throttle & have had 8,000km trouble free. A colder plug could cause a bit of detination, especially if your running low octane fue...

New face for my Raptor

Hi All, I bought this headlight set of fleabay awhile back. I haven't got around to fiddling with it to fit it yet as i have to chase up some aftermarket brackets etc. I have some mixed feedback from friends as to whether it would/wouldn't suit the lines of the Raptor. What do you all think?? http:/...
