Cheers Pod :) Water in the fuel and the plugs were the first things we checked, and I definately agree with what you say about the temp sensitivity. The guys on TLzone have been giving me pointers as to where everything is and temp/resistance maps for it so we might get somewhere eventually. Thanks ...

Hi folks. Wreckah, the clutch switch is fine, I checked it at the weekend :( I did dealer mode on it and apparently there's nowt wrong with it, which is bullshit  POD, do you have any clues as to where the temp sensor is on the raptor 1000? I don't want to have to pull everything to pieces to ...

Temperature sensor
This is a long shot before I put it up for sale... As some of you probably know my raptor is having running problems under 82 degress where it will run rough and violently lurch at about 3000rpm in the first couple of gears... Well, my hubby has been having a think and was wondering about trying to ...

Another update: Yesterday on the way into work it was fine, didn't do much of the nasty surging it had been doing at all. But last night on the way home it was absolutely chucking it down and I noticed that every time it dropped below 82 degrees on the temp gauge it started running rough just below ...

:( I was wrong. It's not fixed at all. I'm really really fed up with this bloody bike now  This morning it was as bad as it was last week. We've changed the plugs, checked everything that folks have suggested and it's still awful when it's warming up. It's fine when it's fully warm but it's st...

Re: (thoroughly off topic, i'll delete in a bit)
Amanda M, didn't you used to be on sv650.org? I still am, but very rarely these days :) UPDATE: Well, it didn't try to kill me this morning  Looks like WD40-ing the clutch switch has helped enormously. It was a bit vicious when it was warming up but it has got better and better through the rid...

Cheers Wreckah 8) That definately sounds like similar symptoms to what I'm getting so I'll add that to my list of things to check. I soaked it in WD40 the other night in case there was a bit of damp in there because it's been very wet here recently (good old manchester weather). I'll let you know ho...

Running problem
Hi folks My raptor has developed a problem. It started a couple of weeks ago slightly but has got progressively worse. It'll start and tickover fine, will set off OK, but when I release the clutch fully in first and second and open the throttle even very gently up to 3000rpm it surges forward really...
