Re: farmyard party
I did the Farmyard party and Stormin the Castle last year - my first rallies (where I wasn't just there on-stage)! They were both a hoot and bargain too!

Re: Wot's yer tyres ?
Supercorsa Pro SC1 front, Avon Storm rear. The rear has done 1000 miles and I doubt I'll get another 1000 out of it. I had the same problem with the previous three BT021s.... I fear that my continuous backlane scratching may not help!
I've never had any problems with the front in the wet....

Electrical problems and fixes - Coose's tips of the day...
Evening all! Albeit my Raptor is grand, I have had a number of electrical problems with it. This surprises me more than most when you consider that the majority of the electrical gunnins are Suzuki. The only parts that aren't are: - Clutch switch Side Stand Switch Clocks Possibly the ignition switch...

Re: rear shock dimensions please?
Battery box relocation is simple - join the TL Zone forum and search for fitting a TL1000R battery box to a TL1000S by Sam (a neighbour of mine - have a look at his fine collection of TLs too. His race bike chucks out 140bhp at the wheel and he's building one with a Rotrex supercharger... ...

Re: rear shock dimensions please?
Aye, just seen that Technoflex. If it had adjustable ride height it might've been worth a punt! One thing to consider is that you can always go for a longer shock - my 'Blade Maxton is set to 315mm with Bike Farm jack up plates fitted also (+25mm I think - I'll have to measure them sometime), so you...

Re: Headlight help please
I had a problem with the connector on the back of the headlight, where one of the pins would push out of the plug when it was pushed home. I popped out the pin and levered out the retainer a tad more, which then held it in place. It will all make sense when you look at it if this is the same problem...

That drawing is rather useful!
Which shock are you looking at? Chances are that someone may have tried it already and could let you know whether it's a simple fit and/or what would need to be done to make it fit if possible.

Re: tls exhaust
No, it's not a straight bolt-on as tthe rear pipe routing is different. Believe me, if it was mine would have aftermarket TLS headers already!
But, utilising my rather splendid TIG welder I may be able to do something about that.....

Re: front forks...
Hi and a belated welcome! There are many ways to skin the springy Italian cat, and there are plenty of threads on here that discuss this very matter. But, you are right in thinking that whomever at Cagiva decided on the spring and damping rates (both front and rear) should be shot at dawn! The forks...

Re: engine temperature
Nope, the TLS stat didn't make any difference, but if you can find one that fits from something else it should work. My fix was to simply tape up the bottom 5th of the radiator with black Duck tape, which believe it or not was the Yamaha approved method for temperature control on my old (1994) TZ250!

Re: clutch lever
I made a Trak-Tek lever from a TLS fit, though it could do with being a tad closer to the bars. Your best bet is to get a Suzuki lever mount and lever as the connector for the clutch switch should be the same.

Aye, 22mm OD x 16mm ID x 16mm W. I got a load from Bearing King earlier this year, plus seals from Simply Bearings for a reasonable price.

Re: 525 conversion
You honestly won't notice any difference going to 525 from 530. You maybe would if you were searching for the last half a horsepower in BSB, but on the road you won't....
