Re: 70 mph+ a nono
did you get this sorted. It doesn't sound carb related as it wouldn't reach full revs in any gear. If it has a TRE I would disconnect first and if the prob still exist I would prob try another ecu borrowed from someone on here I guess

weird thing happening
So I decide to take a quick 200ml trip down to Falmouth to see some rellys. Only get a mile or so from my home where the moor roads are ridiculously bumpy so as usual I just stand up on the pegs enduro style. The bike starts pitching badly as it's cutting out and then firing again. I pull over and t...

pictures problem
I've been trying to stick some pics in a new post but am getting nowhere. If I try and drag to the mssg box it just comes up 'with file too large' even if I try to zip it. I'm not too hot on all this computy stuff so maybe it's me but I let a teenager have a go and they can't do it so I don't feel s...

HI Ho. You don't say where you are as I'm sure plenty of people will let you have a try on their peds. Personally for me it's gotta be the 1000 but I'm a lazy rider and don't like to change gear if I can help it but I've had a few sv650's and they're a massively underrated bike and will keep up with...

Re: Silent Sprockets
30 % noise reduction. Would it really be worth it. An old chain will always make more noise than a new one in good nic. Wouldn't mind seeing one in action though to see if it's smoother

I'm pretty sure it's ABS plastic which is durable to the point of not splitting in an accident

Re: Clutch conversion
no sorry Miz. It all went with the TL about 12yrs ago. If you get hold of the Tlr clutch cover and slave cylinder it's fairly obvious and fairly easy to get it to work. You can then buy a cheaper clutch master cylinder off ebay which will work just fine. Just give me a shout if you want to know more...

Re: Newbe
Hi Vikingo. Good luck with the project. Sounds like a good base to start from. I'd love to change the tank on mine especially for a steel or ally one and then get a seat flat tracker style but I think that would be fairly tricky

rough running 1000
The lesson of this is to go for a test ride AFTER you've been tinkering and not find out something when you're 200mls from home. Thur I decided to do a throttle body balance and tps check as the bike is new to me. The bodies were fairly in sync but the tps was out so all adjusted and whoopee here we...

Re: new keys cut
Sorted. The key shop phoned me to say they had some new keys for bikes in stock, so got two cut for £8 which work perfectly. Cagiva's blank key price is a total rip off me thinks

Re: Help me.....
you gotta give it to the ol duke guys. It's a great looking bike and a scream to ride I bet. Also quite cheap imo. I'd planned on building something similar with a yamaha tr1 but could'nt find a decent one so as yet have done nothing about it. If I was up fer a new bike I'd seriously consider the du...

Re: Clutch conversion
I converted my Tls to hydraulic. Piece of cake, just use the Tlr stuff with a teensy bit of fettling. I soon put it back to cable as it had a lot more feel to it with no real benefit over hydraulic. Also you can carry a spare clutch cable to sort things out if they go wrong which is a lot harder wit...
