Re: Perth chapter meet
I think i like the looks of the cafe raptor! 8) :happyhappy: Still a long way to go tho Ozz. To get it over the pits I had to please them with mudguards and lights and things. I've now removed the mudguard, rear tail light, cut back under seat plastic, relocated seat lock and installed tail tidy an...

Re: Front fork compatibility
Well, got the new forks in thanks to Muzza from Murray West Racing. He had a set from a gixer lying around from a late 90's 750 he sold to me. The overall fork length and width at both triple clamps was the same but had a different axle size. He modified the gsxr axle, added a spacer and replaced th...

Front fork compatibility
Hi guys, I took my raptor for licensing inspection today and it failed due to a RHS Front fork leg being bent. I can't seem to locate one anywhere so now I'm forced to replace with a front end from something else. I did read on here that others will fit but I can't seem to be able to open up the old...

Re: What fuel do you use? BP Ultimate the worst performer !!
I have to apologize to all forum members as I have been misled with some information regarding this issue. The TL1000s engine apparently has 11.3:1 compression. I was led to believe that it had 10:1 compression. I don't usually comment on things I'm unsure about and because I did comment on this I j...

Re: What fuel do you use? BP Ultimate the worst performer !!
Just my 2c... Suzuki recommend using 91 in the TL1000s as its engine is less than 10:1 compression. Anything in the 8's or 9's and up to 10:1 run 91. Anything higher and money is being wasted. High compression engines usually start at around 10.5:1 compression and need the 95 and 98/100 is for engin...

Re: Carbon key guard from IGT
More good news came today in the form of a Modification Approval from the DoT  so just a matter of time now until it's legal. :revrev: Great news indeed, I'll start hassling the locals about another meet! 8) It won't be happening this break but will be happening the break after, which put...

Re: Dizzyblonde and her numpty corner mechanicking questions
Hey Dizz, did you find a left indicator pod? I have both of mine left over from the cafe build. The left one is pristine, the right has a split from the drop. They are silver. Both orange lenses are intact and crack free. I also have the plastic headlight undercover (black) and the centre subframe c...

Carbon key guard from IGT
Received my carbon key guard today from IGT. Quality is excellent. Very thin and light but you can't see through it. Made from carbon fibre, not one sheet of C/F laid over fiberglass like other cheapies. Fits very well. Only gripe is the bottom holes are drilled in the wrong spots. But that's cool.....

Sorry to hear of your dilemma Ozz. Hope it's not too much knuckle skin to get it sorted.
I've just bought a key guard from IGT and hope I don't get the same crap. I'll let everyone know how it looks when it arrives in 6 months...lol.

Re: It's done...for now
I've submitted a modification request so I'll wait and see what they say. I've also included the mods for a cafe racer style change in the request so I don't have to worry every time a cop is following me. I haven't heard back yet but it is the Christmas break. The bike is finished, just need the ap...

Re: What are you hoping to get for Christmas? For the bike.
I should have all parts for cafe racer conversion by Christmas. I know what I'll be doing for that week I'm on break. Putting it all together to see how it looks before I paint. Now I've had a practice run on the tank and front guard I think I'll go for orange flake and black. That way, if I get a r...
