thanks Crap Tartan, next silly question is where's the neutral switch to be found?

Where in Cumbria are you? Im in Carlisle.

Dont think the neutral light is any dimmer!
Ive tried looping the side stand switch, the dash and everything came on as it should , engine started with clutch in then ran with clutch out , but as soon as I selected a gear engine cut

Once again I'd like to say thanks for all you're help and I'll let you know what it was once Ive got it sorted.
I'm just hoping its not the safety control box itself

Yes the neutral light is on but only when the stand is up, think theres a wiring diagram in the workshop manual?

My V Raptor will only start if I have the side stand up, if I try with it down as soon as I pull the clutch in the 5 pin relay under the seat starts buzzing and wont stop until I switch off and with the stand down the dash wont come on!
