Which front wheel can I swap mine for? (Had an accident)
To make a long story short I recently had another terrible accident with my 2006, 650 Rap. This time I was riding in a straight line at 130km/h and the front wheel basically broke like glass in pieces. Looking at the history of the bike at the dealer I found out that the front wheel had been repaire...

Some more
This ones were taken in a very nice 70 km. long, curvy road I like to ride on sundays. My friends and I go out very early and have breakfast in Cuernavaca Mexico, which is called the "City of eternal spring".

Re: Front brake only?
Could you elaborate more on that Guzzi system? Which bike used it?shedmonkey wrote:55 years agoI think the back brake is only good for ballancing the bike going into corners, its useless for anything else. The Guzzi system was back and one front on pedal and one front on hand (or was it the other way round?)

Re: Front brake only?
I agree, totally.Shwat wrote:55 years agoIve been without a back brake for about 4 months now. Have to leave it until I have money to get it all sorted.
No accidents or anything near yet, engine braking is more than sufficient most of the time anyway I think

Re: Front brake only?
Since I don't have the use of my right foot, then I can't use my foot brake. I've actually linked both brakes to the front brake and this set-up works a treat. Most of the braking is on the front but the back brake is applied as well when I pull in the lever. The local bike shop tested the system a...

Re: Front brake only?
This embarrases me a little bit, but I hope it helps someone: I thought I had busted my rear master cylinder right? (I suspected some aluminum dust had scraped the inside while fabricating my footpegs...) On my footpegs the master cylinder is retained in a near vertical manner. I decided to take it ...

Front brake only?
While fabricating my own custom aluminum footpegs I managed to damage my rear brake master cylinder ( Now I've been using my bike braking with the front only. To tell the truth I have not seen any difference in braking distance and if anything I now feel more control of my Raptor  (I ...

Re: Monster 796 Seat?
Yeah, those cf humps look the part, but what attracted me of the Monster seat idea is that first, I can source one at a good price and second, I would forget about the seat side panel that's missing on my bike...

Monster 796 Seat?
While doing a search on google about "Gagiva Raptor Café Racer", this bike came up: http://databikes.com/infophoto/cagiva/raptor_single_piece_1000_cafe_racer-2012.html It seems to have a Monster 796 seat attached to it right? Does anyone have any info about doing this? I think it could be ...

Re: Greetings from Mexico
Hey Tartan that would be awesome! The panel I need is the one that attaches directly to the seat on the left side..., please tell me that you have it... on another note, how do you guys like the raptor best, with or without the front mini fairing (the one that goes over the circular headlight)

Re: Greetings from Mexico
There is not a single replacement part available. Over here, this bike is a rarity and a luxury. Currently I had to redirect the left exhaust to the right one and fabricate myself a left footpeg salvaging the shift lever and rod... I will have to definitely buy the lef tail side panel over the inter...

Looks awesome. What kind of levers are you using? They look good.
