Re: Hi from second-time raptor owner
Welcome back to raptor-world! As your a second-time-arounder I just know you''ll be happy with her. And yes, the Suzuki TL1000S gearbox is the sweetest I've ever owned, like a hot knife through butter.

Re: Raptor radiator
Haven't ever seen another bike with the same curved rad unfortunately, I'm having issues with mine as well - had it repaired but it started leaking in almost the same spot within a month. Going to try a blob of knead-it next, I've heard of good results with that.

Hey lingo, I don't suppose you could weigh the rear disc for me? I'm trying to buy one, but M&P reckon postage to the colonies would be 93 quid!!!

Re: One for Shed
Haha, very nice. Personally I like to use old washing machine drums for fire pits, they have great ventilation holes as well as drainage holes. On a related topic I've signed up for a Welding for Beginners course next month.

Re: Time for a new Helmet
Don't know anything about the Reevus but the one thing I learned when writing-off my Firestorm was that what's going on behind you isn't nearly as important as the shit that's up ahead, so please benefit from my hard-learned lesson! I'm in the market for a new one myself and as I've an Arai-s...

Re: Interchangeable parts
Howdy strangers! Sorry I've been out of the loop for so long. Can one of our lovely mods please sticky this thread? I'm sick of failing at de-soldering & trying to make scooter parts works so I'm currently commissioning Custom LED https://www.customled.com/ to do one just for me. If anyone is in...

Re: Mods for a life of commuting
Love your work! That does look like it should do the job. I'm still adding extra Rapid Fix every time mine goes with the long-term plan of getting a carbon fibre MV Agusta one when pennies permit. It hasn't gotten to the top of the to-do list yet as it really does seem to be a problem that only happ...

Welcome in Trigger, head over to http://www.raptorchapter.org.uk/viewtop ... =10&t=4474 although I think they're generally about the 1000s.
The underslung superbike back brake is a pig to bleed on the 1000s, I guess the 650s are the same? I'd start there and then service the caliper.

Re: Airbox mod and where can I get a temperature sensor
Welcome aboard, sorry to hear of the theft. There are plenty of threads discussing airbox mods so give the search function a shot. Have you tried asking your Suzuki dealer for a TL1000S (or SV650) air temp sensor? Always remember she's a japper on the inside! Can't advise on your 3/4 wire problems t...

I love the way you can go to a junkyard for inspiration, shows great initiative.
