Kawa Z1000 looks like V-raptor
Am I the only one to notice more than a passing resemblance between the Kawa Z1000 and a V-raptor ?

Re: PAIR removal works ! Thank you.
Hi Hairy_Mark, yes I've got a single (small) aftermarket can - the bike came that way. Hey in SA the roadworthy (as we call it) does not check for emmissions stuff so no worries :) Is there any easy/cheap way to lean out the mixture a little ? (like soldering in a resistor or adjusting a POT or some...

Re: PAIR removal works ! Thank you.
Hey shedmonkey , you *could* put a valve into the tube that goes from the airbox to the pairs valve and have the popping on demand ... well sort of - you'd have to reach down to turn the valve - you do get small 1/2inch stopvalves for plumbing that close to open with a 90degree movement... There are...

Re: PAIR removal works ! Thank you.
The good news is you can do the mod like I did (just blocking the tube) in like 15-20mins. Just remove the key guard (4 little allen bolts), remove the 2 bolts holding the tank and lift it up. Then the hard part - getting that weird Cagiva hose clamp off (I had to break mine off with a pair of plier...

Re: Original Chain WARNING
Would anyone know if the original chain has "ORP" stamped every 5 links or so, and also 1 link stamped with "Regina" ?
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I've only had my Raptor 1000 for a few months so I don't know the history.
Thanks chaps.

PAIR removal works ! Thank you.
A thousand thank-yous to the guys who have come before me and have posted about their experiences with removing the PAIR system to prevent backfires. I took the bike for a test ride this morning and its perfectly backfire free. For the moment I have just blocked my PAIR system by the simple method o...

Re: Hello from South Africa
Erm, I might had made the wrong impression with my last message. It is generally safe here, I mean to go do your shopping or go sightseeing, take the kids to school, etc. There are definitely some areas which are unsafe to go into (whether you're black or white) , especially after dark. And if your ...

A PINT of Tequila and lime !? Brave words. I mean, brave last words. haha. The weather I described is in Joburg, which is in the interior up on the highveld (Over 1500m above sea level), other areas have different climates - Durban is sub-tropical and Cape-Town is Temperate, lower interior areas are...

Re: Hello from South Africa
Hi everyone. OK lets see - the roads here are OK I guess, some have plenty potholes, but the more main roads are maintained OK. Drivers here are a different story though - no discipline at all. They will stop in the middle of the road if they have a problem, or do a U-turn at an intersection without...
