Re: Location Location Location

A previous owner of mine own bike has recently liberated one from the capital, which makes three in the Seaford area. If we organised it could almost be a sub-chapter-raptor-chapter (paragraph :?: )

Re: IT LIVES!

Duly noted. I will make some tentative enquiries and then maybe drop some tentative hints to the better half  (she may read this) if the costs aren't too scary.

Re: IT LIVES!

These remind me of the Predator systems a mate of mine had made for his XV750 years ago, good quality but the Predator didn't suit the style of the bike and were VERY quiet, where some of these samples at least look right on the respective bike. You pays you rmoney .... I'm not looking for especiall...

Re: Location Location Location

There's another red v-raptor within a couple of miles of me, I know a mate of his but haven't had chance to speak (I did see him riding through the town yesterday). Meanwhile check out zazzle.co.uk, they have a small amount of merchandise featuring a pencil sketch image of a naked raptor on tee shir...

Re: IT LIVES!

A close inspection of the cans have revealed that the lugs to the footrest hangers have split so I may well go for some aftermarket kit and get these repaired ready for MOT time. Pipewerx do a range of styles but are they the best?

The new clutch cover is on (shame it has SUZUKI on, guess they deserve credit for the engine) and it's oiltight - VROOOMMMMM!

Re: Newcomer here

Shame on me for not returning to this thread until now... your choice of tipple is very interesting, I thought me & the mrs did well spending £90 on a single malt for her brother last Christmas, didn't get a sniff mind! I find the upgrade threads curious, especially the taller guys showing off t...

Re: Clutch cover (another question!)

There is something sooo wrong with that whole image, or is there something so wrong with me? Sadly I'm going the boring route for now, a new one from Suzuki  to get roadworthy quickly. I have a plan to lose the "SUZUKI" from it (not cutting a window in it though). The Missus actuall...

Re: Clutch cover (another question!)

Thanks, I'll try for a standard TL item for now, I think my bank account supervisor (wife) may question the need  for exotic parts even if they cure the only problem with the beast (so far!). The cover was like it when I bought the bike, in that there was already gasket goo present and the war...

Clutch cover (another question!)

Hi, I have searched a lot of the topics here and leaks from the clutch cover don't seem unusual, and yes my recently acquired v-rap is following form. I have tried instant gasket from two different suppliers but there's no cure in sight that way. What I did find when I bothered to look was the cover...

Newcomer here

Greetings one and all from the south east coast, drinks all round! Had to join up having just acquired a V-Raptor 1000 yr2000 with reasonable miles but seemingly a bit of a rarity. It's completely standard apart from carbon look cans but could they be from an xtra? and screen. For my limited budget ...
