Thanks mate, I did a quick weekend trip to Edinburgh the other day and drove through Carlisle - looks like there'd be some good back roads not too far from you for a good blast.

Re: Hey everyone

Good Morning, I've been a member here for years but haven't posted in a long time. I've just moved to London from Oz, Xrap #202 is still in Australia - so if any of the Aussies see an Xrap going through Ginger's Creek that'll be my dad. I've no idea if I'll get another Rap but you never know JL It ...

Possibly true, supposedly Oz is Ducati's biggest market after US and Italy (never checked that, could be bollox).

Re: Brake & Clutch Levers

Yes the TL1000 BRAKE lever which is apparently the same as the same era GSXR (early noughties) is a bolt on - as per my above post - I asked for an aftermarket TL brake lever and got one that was marked GSXR/YZFR/Triumph so it seems it's a pretty generic part. The clutch lever if I recall correctly,...

Cagiva is cast into the spokes so might be cagiva specific. Although a friend of mine had lightweight wheels on his but they might have been cagiva as well. I don't think my V has Marchessini rims as stock :? I think the lightweight marchesinis are X Rap only (stock) (which doesn't mean the V doesn...

Rims

Hi Guys Given our bikes seem to be parts bin specials, does anyone know which bin the rims came out of. I'd like to replace the stock Marchesinis with a set of Carbon rims, but given of course no one stocks Cagiva V/X Raptor rims I need to tell them "TL1000" or MV Agusta or Ducati 996 or w...

Re: Phillip[ Island Aust Moto GP

G'Day fellow Raptor Riders, I found your website from a bloke I met in Tamworth NSW when I stoped at the local bike dealership on the way back from Phillip Island GP. He has an XTRA-RAPTOR as well and told me thst there is only about 6 or seven of them left in Australia. I think he has No. 356, Min...

Xtra Raptor #202. Mildly modded by the application of Carbon bits & pipes and remap. When I get the nose cone in a couple of weeks there won't be a plastic panel left :-)

Then I think I'll have to delve into the motor :-)

I removed mine a few months ago when I fitted an HID headlight. Don't wuss out, as it's really easy - provided you have a copy of the service manual (links elsewhere in this forum)! OK, have checked the service manual (page e7), rather than rely on my slightly dodgy memory. All you have to do is re...

Nose cone

Hi all

Anyone taken the nose cone off ?

I've ordered a carbon fibre one, and I'm now wondering how bad it's going to be - should I woose out and give it to the dealer ?

Just buy a blinker relay suitable for use with LED indicators. Should be available from any aftermarket auto parts & accessories shop (or they are here in OZ - hell you can buy them at the local supermarket I'm told). No need for the resistors then.

Hi Kev, this is the only one I have came across thats specific for the V-rap and it does a good job of pushing the worst of the blast up and around you. Its pretty well made and suits the look of the bike I reckon. [/img] I've got one very similar (identical ?) to that which I bought new and never ...
