Christ! 4000 rpm! I think that maybe even I would have complained! They must have trouble keeping cutlery & china on the breakfast table! The Staintunes are freakin' loud but I've never had a complaint. Do occasionally scare the poop out of people when the bike does the double barrel bac...

Yep, A bit over four & a half years here too. 1st of Feb 2002 Still in lust with this bike. :D Played traffic light drags with a S4 Duck a couple of weeks ago. Shattered the poor bloke's superbike illusions  awwwww Was particularly satisfying since it was the exact same bike that I was ...

Welcome Chili. The exhaust headers are stainless steel. The brownish colour is what heat does to them. Sadly they don't go blue like the chromed steel of old, but they will last forever. Suspect electrics? Nah, I've not had a problem over here with mine but then it's not real wet over here and we do...

Welcome to the asylum Breezie! Nope, I'm not from Melb but is Canberra near enuff? There are not a lot of Raps on the road around here. I know of only 4 in the ACT! I guess that since a Rap isn't a race replica or a Duck Monster the bikes have been over looked... Pity, 'cause they are an absolute ho...

We are working with Aussie Pesos here :-(

Keep me posted...... maybe a project in the freezing cold garage this winter (at least the beer stays cold :-)).

Dunno, but I've been thinking of turning my Nekid into a V so I'd be interested to know how much it would hurt  .

The end of the line..........

G'day fellow looneys, I spoke to the Cagiva importer yesterday and one of the topics he brought up was that Cagiva have (or are about to) drop the 1000 Raptor from their line. :o He said 'well...the model is 6 years old now...' and seemed hopeful that there would be something new to replace it. Raps...

Oh yeah, The radiator thing was a warranty job. No biggy, just a slightly wider spacer on the left mounting point. Cracked radiators (if caused by the tension on the mount) were replaced under warranty. A 2000/2001 bike should have the recall sticker on the frame inder the seat (next to the one for ...

6000 kms! May as well say 'never ridden'. Nope the tank size is the same for all years of the 1000. There was a lot of argument as to the capacity of the tank, but it mainly came down to people not checking what the real capacity is. 18 litres is optimistic, I've never squeezed anywhere near that am...

Hmmmmm..... Like I always say "If some's good, more is better!" Me? I would go for the 1000cc, but I'm just greedy :D As far as I've heard the 650cc engine is a good one. I know that the 1 litre is fan-bloody-tastic. The power/torque combination is brilliant. So good that I find myself loo...

Hey no problemo John. Call me anything, but not late for dinner :) Took a young lady out as a pillion on the Rap today. She loved it and is a good pillion 8) . Hooked up with a Ulysses run to Tidbinbilla Deep Space Tracking Station & the bike got a lot of 'Wondered what that bike was...' comment...

Peter Stevens huh, so you are in "Melbin"? I too liked the "Bat Black" colour but the deal I got was for the floor model (Red). You'll notice that the seat & wheel colour is different (brown... :? ) on the red bike, so it's not as simple as changing the tank & front guard...
