Thanks JL, I'll look into that. They are a pretty good crew at Staintune (have 'em on the Rap too). It'll be a while before I can do anything that costs $$, but in the meantime she's still rideable and then there's always the Rap to play with 8) It's magpie swooping season here at the moment and I a...

I couldn't live without the platform lift for tinkering with the motorcycles 8) The Rap, the Ducati and the 1974 GT Capri....... they make me sm...

Bugger!.....
Sometimes I think that if I had a duck it would drown I've spent the last few weeks doing a heap of little maintenace jobs on the trusty Pantah. I've had her 23 years and, apart from a wee bingle that left me with fractured C2 & C3, things have been pretty smooth. I managed to get a set of heade...

Almost never have negative comments from Duck owners. Although there have been a few from wannbe's.... go figure. If I can be bothered I put them straight...... Duck Monster = designed in house by Cagiva (Miguel Angel Galluzzi). Cagiva Raptor = designed in house by Cagiva (Miguel Angel Galluzzi). Ho...

Re: Xtra Raptor.
dont worry about them squabbling - they are italian so can't disagree without much arm waving and hand gestures - steering lock on and they can't ;) LOL... I had use of a Morini Corsaro for a few days last month. When I parked it in the garage, between the Duke & The Raptor, I told them all qui...

Pics and Vid of clear clutch cover on the Rap at last!
Hey, hello folks. At last I have the billet clear clutch cover (& pressure plate) on the bike... I reckon it looks great and only took minutes to swap the parts. Many thanks to Vandriver from TLPlanet... the man is a God! Check it out. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb65/LawnMoaMan/Raptor200...

I use an Anderson bike stand, made here in Australia. Since there is no place on the Raptor to instal bobbins, a la Jappa sportbikes, I use the generic pads that should also come with any new paddock stand. Another way that I have considered is to make up a rod with the bobbins attached and pass thi...

Torque, Nuts and Manuals
Hey, Has anybody else noticed this? The owners manual that came with the bike has a major error in the torque setting for the sump plug  The figure is correct for the 'other' languages.... but in the English section it has 39 ft-lb. :!: That's a hell of a lot of force for a sump plug! The Ita...
