I have a front master cylinder with brake lever. I'll dig it out of the garage to check if it's ok.

I found the master cylinder, it's missing the reservoir but apart from that all is ok.

It worked fine when removed a year ago.

Here it is.

cheap mini reservoirs on ebay if you search.

I replaced mine when I upgraded the levers and it looks much better.
