Quite a raucous lot on the Hyundai website there.

I was driving my daughter home the other night in the dark. I had to drop one of her friends off first. I was a bit peeved to find out that for several hundred yards on the road she lived on, a load of traffic humps had appeared. This was on a main road linking two sizeable towns as well, not some residential backstreet.

We continued home and as we travelled down a road towards the town where I live, I was pretty sure that the car was bucking around a bit. Maybe a bit more than it should as I know that (another) one of the springs has bust. I went up there the next day to find that they have started to lay loads of bleedin' immense bumps in the middle of the road there as well.

So all our roads are full of holes and chewed up after the Winter, but the priority seems to be making the roads even bumpier still! This should be ilegal, surely. No wonder the springs keep going on the car.

I know what you mean and how you feel. Over here in Kirklees Council in West Yorkshire they seem obsessed with speed platforms that are the height of kerbs. I can't wait to get back on the road and clear off to France for a summer break. Great roads with loads of room for everyone and some spectacular scenery.
